Juan Carlos is a dancer who reached the Semi-Finals of Series 19 of Britain’s Got Talent. He was aged 12 and was a schoolboy at the time of his audition. He hailed from Spain.
In his audition, Carlos performed a dance routine whilst stood still in one area of the stage before gradually making wider use of the stage to ‘Gasolina’ by Daddy Yankee, ‘Con Calma’ by Daddy Yankee & ‘Hips Don’t Lie’ by Shakira featuring Wyclef Jean. Simon remarked ‘I just like somebody like you having fun [with] amazing music choices’, with Alesha adding ‘Your performance sums up why dance is so special [as] its the most beautiful way to just express yourself’.
In the Semi-Finals, Carlos performed a dance routine where he approached the stage through the audience before performing a dance routine on stage accompanied by several backing dancers and directly in front of the judges desk to ‘NuevaYOL’ by Bad Bunny, ‘Shake Senora Remix’ by Pitbull & ‘Let’s Get Loud’ by Jennifer Lopez. Amanda remarked ‘You have got like an infectious energy, you are so joyful [and] you’ve got great rhythm’, with KSI adding ‘I don’t know how someone as young as you is able to have so much confidence and aura’.
