Andrew first impressed the Judges, and the audience, when he sang Lady Gaga’s “Hold My Hand” from Top Gun: Maverick at his audition. Somehow, the song suited him perfectly.
Back home, Alfie’s family revealed just how much their boy making it to national television meant to them, sharing some of their story in an emotional Instagram post ahead of his Live Show episode.
“Well todays the day🎙️ and we’ve not slept we’re that nervous for Alfie, but if you know Alfie he’s as calm as calm can be,” wrote his parents. “From the moment Alfie was placed in our arms we’ve never felt love quite like we did in that moment. He was beyond perfect. Alfie was a vocal baby 🤣 who liked to cry…………A Lot, but now we believe he was just testing out his vocal chord.”
The continued, “By the time Alfie was around 15months old he was already trying to sing and tried to copy singers on the television. In 2016 his video to Hocus Pocus went viral, and Bette Midler saw it too 😍 and commented ‘Alfie you nailed it’…Whatever happens on AGT or in the future, our main priority is that Alfie is safe & happy. We love you Alf, to the moon & back. Keep it real, be yourself and show the world what you’re made of🎙️.”
