Nakira Phillips is a singer who auditioned for Series 19 of Britain’s Got Talent. She was aged 30 at the time of her audition and hailed from North West London.
In her audition, Phillips performed a rendition of ‘I Have Nothing’ by Whitney Houston. Alesha remarked ‘It went from strength to strength, my goodness you can sing [as] by the time you got to the end of the song, you were on fire’, with Simon adding ‘Sometimes with that song it’s like British artists try and impersonate Americans but actually you didn’t do that [and] you made it your version’. She advanced onto the following round, however she failed to reach the Semi-Finals.
