Nathan & Joanne are a dance duo who reached the Semi-Finals of Series 16 of Britain’s Got Talent. Nathan was aged 24, and has Down’s Syndrome, whereas Joanne was aged 28 at the time of the duo’s audition. Before their performance, Joanne stated that Nathan thrived on dancing. They received a Judges Golden Moment from judge Alesha Dixon.
In their audition, the duo performed a Cha-Cha-Cha to ‘Try Everything’ by Shakira from Disney’s Zootropolis as the audience clapped along to their performance. Bruno remarked ‘It was a cheeky, sizzling [and] joyous Cha-Cha-Cha’, with Alesha adding ‘Thank you for being such a superstar today and making us all feel joy [as] it really moved me’.
In their Semi-Final performance, the duo performed a routine to ‘You Can’t Stop The Beat’ from the musical Hairspray. Alesha remarked ‘You’ve got such a gorgeous relationship together, and I just loved the cheekiness’, with Amanda adding ‘Nathan, that was some amazing footwork, you’re giving Bruno a run for his money’.
